What sets the HA23 UHE apart is its innovative emitter design. It features four dual-core MCT UHE LEDs arranged side-by-side, each combining a warm white (3,000K) and cool white (6,500K) LED under a single, precision-engineered unibody optical lens system.  This configuration allows for three distinct color temperature outputs through independent control: selecting only the cool LED for bright, crisp illumination; activating both cool and warm LEDs together for a balanced neutral white light or using just the warm LED for a soft, ambient glow. The result is a seamless, uniform beam without visible separation or uneven light distribution, a significant achievement in multi-LED headlamp design.

The headlamp also includes two auxiliary red LEDs, offering a dedicated red light function with two brightness settings. Red light preserves night vision and is perfect for map reading, equipment checks, or avoiding disturbing others in shared spaces. 

Operational simplicity is built into the design. The HA23 UHE features two distinct buttons—each uniquely shaped and tactile—allowing intuitive, one-handed operation. One button controls the main white light modes, the other toggles the red light settings. With four adjustable brightness levels for white light and three special modes (including strobe and SOS), users can tailor their illumination to suit the task at hand. A power indicator provides real-time feedback on remaining battery life, ensuring you’re never caught off guard in the dark.

The headlamp is powered by either three AAA batteries or the Nitecore  HLB1500 Li-ion battery pack, which extends runtime significantly. The included three alkaline AAA batteries provide immediate usability, making it ready to use right out of the box.

Constructed from high-impact, low-temperature-resistant PC plastic, the HA23 UHE is built to endure harsh conditions. It’s impact-resistant up to 1 metre and rated IP68 for dustproof and waterproof performance, capable of withstanding submersion in up to 2 meters of water for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use in rain, snow, or even accidental drops into puddles or streams.

Lightweight at just 56g (with headband, no battery), the HA23 UHE sits comfortably on the head without causing fatigue during extended wear.
