The Sofirn HS21 is engineered for outdoor enthusiasts who demand performance, reliability, and versatility without paying a premium. Designed with a focus on real-world usability, it excels in diverse conditions—from forest trails to urban night walks and emergency situations. The dual LED configuration is a standout feature: a single Luminus SFT40 LED in the spotlight offers a tight, intense beam with a 230-meter throw, ideal for navigating dark terrain or spotting distant objects. The floodlight uses six high-efficiency CSP1919 LEDs arranged in a precise array, producing a wide, even 63-meter beam with high color accuracy (5000K, high CRI). This makes it superior for close-up work where color distinction matters, such as reading, first aid, or setting up camp.

The combination mode is particularly useful when you need both reach and coverage—such as when approaching a trail junction or setting up a tent in low light. The red light, powered by three HFL1-R LEDs, emits a dim, non-disruptive glow that maintains night vision.

What sets the HS21 apart from other budget headlamps is its use of a buck driver. Unlike cheaper linear or FET drivers that lose brightness as the battery depletes, the buck driver maintains stable output from full charge to near-empty. This ensures consistent performance throughout your journey, a critical feature for safety in extended outdoor use.

The control system is intuitive and robust. The rotary switch allows you to cycle through the four main modes—Spot, Flood, Combined, and Red—with distinct, satisfying detents. The side e-switch lets you quickly adjust brightness levels: Moon, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo. The gesture control, activated with three quick clicks, detects hand movements to increase, decrease, or turn off the light—perfect for use with gloves, in dirty conditions, or when your hands are full.

The headlamp’s build quality is impressive for its price. Constructed from AL6061-T6 aluminum alloy, it’s resistant to impact and corrosion. The matte black anodized finish reduces glare and resists wear. IPX8 waterproofing means it can survive immersion in up to 2 meters of water, making it reliable in heavy rain or accidental drops. The design is ergonomic, with a slightly offset headband and adjustable tilt to ensure the beam aligns perfectly with your line of sight.

Included accessories enhance usability: a comfortable, padded headband with a snap-on system for quick removal, a lanyard, two spare O-rings, and an optional top strap for added stability during high-motion activities. The USB-C charging port is standard and includes a cable, ensuring compatibility with modern devices. A red LED indicator shows charging status, turning green when complete.
