The Sofirn SK30 delivers powerful illumination in a rugged package designed for outdoor adventures. Its aluminium alloy body is engineered to withstand the rigours of hard use, while its IPX8 waterproof rating means it can be used safely in rain without fear of damage.

The light source is a high‑performance SFT70 LED that produces up to 3000 lumens. The beam is a clean white spot with a throw of almost 400 metres, making it ideal for spotting distant objects such as navigational features in low light conditions. A strobe function is also available; this quick‑flash mode can be used to attract attention if you become lost or need help during an emergency.

The SK30 uses a single 21700 lithium‑ion cell that offers long runtime and high power output thanks to its boost drive circuit. The torch can be recharged via a USB Type‑C connector, providing a convenient charging method for use on the trail with portable solar panels or power banks. Built‑in temperature protection automatically reduces current when temperatures exceed 55 °C, keeping the housing safe even during prolonged use. Battery safety is further enhanced by reverse‑polarity protection, which prevents damage if the cell is inserted incorrectly.

Two tail switches give users full control of the light without needing to reach for a separate button. One switch toggles between five modes—Eco, Low, Middle, High and Turbo—while the other provides an instant turbo start with a double press. The buttons are positioned so they can be operated easily even when wearing gloves or in the dark.

Weighing just 87 g without its battery and measuring only 28 mm by 140 mm, the SK30 fits comfortably into a backpack or attaches to a belt via its sturdy clip. The robust construction ensures it can survive accidental drops—tested to withstand a one‑metre impact without damage.
