The Vastlite Bow LEP Torch is a next-generation compact flashlight engineered for maximum performance in a minimal footprint. Designed for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts who demand precision, range, and reliability, this torch stands out through its use of Light-Emitting Phosphor (LEP) technology—a significant leap beyond conventional LED lighting. Unlike standard LEDs, the LEP emitter delivers a tightly focused, high-intensity beam with exceptional throw, making it ideal for long-range applications such as search and rescue, night navigation, wildlife observation, and signalling.

At the heart of the Vastlite Bow is a white laser emitter (LEP) that produces a beam with a colour temperature of approximately 7000K–9000K, resulting in a bright, crisp white light with a subtle greenish tint on Low output and a cooler, whiter appearance on High. With a CRI of around 67, the light is well-suited for identifying details at distance, though not ideal for colour-critical tasks. The narrow beam profile ensures minimal spill, concentrating light into a powerful, tight shaft that reaches up to 750 metres—far exceeding most standard LED flashlights of similar size.

The torch is available in three body materials, each tailored to different user priorities: aluminium, titanium, and brass. The aluminium version is the lightest option for packable gear. The titanium variant offers superior corrosion resistance and durability, ideal for harsh environments. The brass model is the heaviest but provides the best thermal management due to its high heat conductivity, helping to regulate temperature during extended use—particularly beneficial when operating in high-output modes.

Despite its compact size—measuring 91mm in length and 24mm in diameter—the Vastlite Bow delivers impressive performance. It runs on a single 18350 Li-ion battery, offering a maximum runtime of 90 minutes on high output. However, output drops rapidly after approximately two minutes on High, which is typical for high-intensity LEP modules due to thermal constraints. For extended use, the Low mode provides a more sustainable option, allowing for longer operation without overheating.

The flashlight features a traditional clicky switch for intuitive operation, allowing quick access to both Low and High modes with a single press. The switch is robust and responsive, suitable for use with gloves or in low-light conditions. With an IPX-8 waterproof rating, the Vastlite Bow is fully submersible to 2 metres, making it reliable in rain, splashes, or accidental drops in water.

Impact resistance is rated at 1 metre, meaning it can withstand drops from typical backpack or pocket heights without damage. This durability, combined with its compact form, makes it a dependable tool for hikers, climbers, hunters, and emergency responders who need a reliable light that won’t fail when it matters most.

Compared to the Vastlite Minima Bow, the Bow is larger (91mm vs 71mm) and heavier, but offers superior runtime—90 minutes on high versus the Minima’s 75—thanks to its larger 18350 battery. The Bow maintains output better under sustained use, while the Minima’s smaller 16340 battery leads to faster drop-off. The Bow uses a forward clicky switch with intuitive mode changes when off, while the Minima’s twisty switch requires cycling via on-off, better suited for minimalist EDC. Both deliver 280 lumens and 750m throw with a narrow LEP beam. Choose the Bow for longer runtime, durability, and traditional operation; opt for the Minima Bow for ultimate portability and everyday carry convenience.
